James H Ahrens, 64, of Blandon, died in the Reading Hospital. He was a son of Mrs. Lizzie (Bernhart) Bowers and the late Abel Ahrens. He was a member of Maidencreek Lutheran Church, of which he was ab elder. He was a teacher of the Men's Bible Class of the church school for 25 years and was a member of the Blandon Fire Co. and its relief association. Surviving are his mother, at home; his widow, Lizzie (Shollenberger) Ahrens; three sons; Harold A., Blandon; Karl A., Reading, and Paul, Fleetwood R.D. 2; four grandchildren; a brother, Arthur, and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Hare, both of Reading. Burial will take place in Maidencreek Cemetery.
