Mrs Lizzie A. (Bernhart) Bowers, 87, died on her residence at 1755 Perkiomen Ave. Born in Ontelaunee Township, she was a member of Maidencreek United Church of Christ and the Ladies of the Golden Eagle, both of Blandon, and the Royal Neighbors, Reading. Mrs. Bowers was widowed twice. Her first husband, Abel Ahrens, died in 1905. Her second husband, Wilson S. Bowers, died in 1923. She is survived by a daughter, Elsie M., widow of Charles R. Hare, with whom she last resided; a son, Arthur H. Ahrens, Reading, and seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services in Maidencreek Church, the Rev. Elmer G. Link officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
