She was a bank teller and a bookkeeper. She was a 1937 graduate of Clinton High School and attended Terre Haute Commercial College. She was a 51-year member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, in Indianapolis. She was also a member of the Oasis, Tri Kappa, Sweet Adeline's Singing Group, and had been a Docent at the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry L. Ahlemeyer; one brother, Paul Clover; sisters, Ruth Coburn and Lucille McDonald. She is survived by one son, John and Marty Ahlemeyer of Clinton; one daughter, Harriet and Al MacKinnon of Westfield; four grandchildren, Elizabeth MacKinnon, Kristin Mallory, Amy Broadbridge, and Nathan Ahlemeyer; four great-grandchildren, Lauren Mallory, Ryder Broadbridge, Rowan Broadbridge, and Avery Ahlemeyer; another great-granddaughter who will be born in December; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Roselawn Memorial Park, in Terre Haute, with the Rev. Pat Engel officiating.
