David Scobie Alexander, 85, a retired Hopkins County farmer, died Wednesday night at Senior Citizens nursing home north of Madisonville. He was born in Hopkins County on July 11th 1877.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Charles Buntin, Madisonville; Mrs. Marshall Ward, Princeton; and Mrs. Don Meltzer,, Hollywood, California; four sons, Delmer Alexander and George Alexander, both of Madisonville; Fordney Alexander, of Beaver Dam; and Melvin Alexander, Princeton, Caldwell County; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Goodaker and Mrs. Bucie Cross, both of Dawson Springs, and Mrs. Elmer Cook, Princeton; a number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and two brothers Emmett and Luther Alexander, both of Dawson Springs.
The body is at Beshears Funeral Home in Dawson. Final plans are incomplete.
