Mrs. Cornelia Wallace Jones of Cameron, age 77, died on a Monday in a Cameron hospital after a short illness. Private funeral services were held at Brookshire Memorial Park in Houston. She in Rockdale, daughter of Judge Eugene A. Wallace and Daisy Smith Wallace. Judge and Mrs. Wallace with their family lived in Rockdale years ago on East Cameron Street. They later moved to Cameron while the children were all young. She graduated from Cameron High School and attended Baylor University, University of Texas, and Columbia University. She and husband, Paul Fortier Jones, lived in New York and Paris. Mrs. Jones was an artist. She returned to Cameron in 1968 and has made her home there since. She was a sister of District Judge W.C. Wallace of Cameron and a sister of Mrs. Eugenia Collins of Austin. They are the lone close survivors along with nieces and nephews.
