Paul was also a foreign literary representative of Harper & Brothers, publishers. In 1916 his book, "With Serbia Into Exile" was published.
Paul married Cornelia Wallace, a Texas born sculptress who studied at the Art Students League, in October 1921. The couple lived in New York and Paris. Cornelia died in December 1975.
