Fannie Elizabeth "Lizzie" Martin age 91 of Lindside, WV passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the Riverview Nursing Home, Rich Creek, WV. Born March 6, 1921 at Wikel, WV she was the daughter of the late Christopher Thomas and Annie Canterbury Riner. Lizzie was a member of the Rock Camp United Methodist Church where she taught the Adult Sunday School class for over 20 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Howard Martin Sr., one son, Basil Howard Martin, Jr. one daughter, Rebecca Jane Martin, six brothers and sisters. Survivors include, two sons, Donald R. Martin and wife Katherine of Pulaski, VA, Joe Ray Martin and wife Pat of Covington, VA, six daughters, Nadine Fullen and husband Eugene of Rock Camp, WV, Barbara Jenkins and husband Jim of Narrows, VA, Dreama Nichols of Portland, IN, Judy Mills and husband Randall of Union, WV, Linda Perkins and husband Wayne of Pembroke, VA and Patricia Travers and husband Don of Easton, MD, two brothers, Andrew Riner of Huntington, WV and Joseph Riner of Statesville, NC, one sister, Vianna Noami Baker of Clifton Forge, VA, fifteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, WV with Rev. James A. Jenkins and Pastor Gene Eugene Fullen officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery, Wikel, WV. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations of sympathy be made to the Rock Camp United Methodist Church Building Fund, Rt. 1 Box 206, Lindside, WV 24951.
