Visitation will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, at Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home in Marshalltown.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel in Marshalltown, with Rev. Jack Mauldin officiating. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
Howard George Reimers was born April 9, 1930, in Davenport, the son of Walter and Edith (Frick) Reimers. He received his education in the Kalmar and Liberty Township schools in Scott County. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed with the Durant Foundry and also farmed, until he retired. He later became a resident of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. He never married.
Surviving are one sister, Wilma (Lawrence) Johannsen of Davenport; three brothers, William and Harold Reimers, both of Toledo and Kenneth (Pauline) Reimers of Dawsonville, GA; and several nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Arnold Reimers and one niece, Sharon Reimers.
