William J. Reimers, 75, of Gladbrook, formerly of Stockton, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 1994, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center in Marshalltown.
Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 2, at Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home in Durant. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 2, at Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, with Rev. David Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
William John Reimers was born July 11, 1919, in Stockton, the son of Walter and Edith (Frick) Reimers. He received his education in the Scott County schools. He was employed at the J I Case Company in Bettendorf, until he moved to Marshall County where he was employed on various farms in the area, until he retired and moved to Gladbrook. He never married.
Surviving are one sister, Wilma (Lawrence) Johannsen of Davenport; one brother, Harold Reimers of Marshalltown; and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Arnold, Kenneth and Howard Reimers and one niece, Sharon Reimers.
