She grew up at 84 Cable Street, Buffalo, New York with her siblings: Teddy, Chester, Mary, Frances, Johnny, Frankie, Pearl and Kay in a neighborhood called 'Kaisertown'.

Hattie married Walter M. Wojkowski.
Hattie and Wally raised their daughter Hattie Rose at 130 Harvester in Batavia, New York.
