Sgt. Blong is buried here as part of a group burial with the entire crew he was killed with. He also has a cenotaph (memorial marker) in his home city of Port Washington, Wisconsin among his family members. This is NOT a duplicate memorial, he is buried in 2 different states!

The group stone that contains James Blong is still not in -- although the burial was October 26 2011, the group stones are taking up to 18 months to be put in place. This group site is on my list to check each week that I'm at Arlington. I'm removing your request from this list, as I believe it will be more than two weeks before the stone is in, but I have added your name to my list to notify you when the stone is in, I've photographed it, and posted the photos. I'll take care of this for you, as I've done before! (from photo volunteer A. Horan November 4, 2012)
