Savanna - - Mrs. Rodney Hayden Sr., 77, native of Carroll County, died Monday morning in Savanna City hospital where she had been a patient for a month.
Hazel Poffenberger was born Sept. 16, 1889, to George and Effie Jane Blessing Poffenberger of Mt. Carroll. She married Rodney Hayden, May 13, 1921, at Princeton.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Rodney Jr. of Brookfield, Wis., and Kenneth Zink of Mt. Carroll; two daughters, Mrs. George Stricker of Mt. Carroll and Mrs. C. C. Shupback of Gary, Ind.; nine grandchildren & several great - grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. A. R. Mills of Savanna and Mrs. Earl Welch, of Davenport, Iowa.
