Porter Powell Chilton, 68, Turner's Station died at the Mallory-Taylor Hospital, LaGrange Friday, November 13 at 2:15 a.m. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mamie Chilton, Turner's Station; two sons, Warner E. Chilton, Turner's Station and Bobby Eugene Chilton, Milton; one daughter, Mrs. Virgie Ricketts, Sulphur; and his mother Mrs. Emma Chilton, Turner's Station. Funeral services were held Sunday, 2 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Tony Berry, paster of the Turner's Station Baptist Church. Burial was in the Port Royal Cemetery. Casketbearers were Vivian Powell, Billy Chilton,Randolph Chilton, Woodrow Batts, Oral Sanders and Billy Sanders.
