Emma Rae Chilton, 101 of Route 1, Turner's Station, died Wednesday, September 2nd at the Homestead Nursing Center, New Castle. She was a member of the Turner's Station Baptist Church.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Mrs. Charles (Virgie) Ricketts, RFD, Sulphur; two grandsons, Edward Warner Chilton, Route 1, Campbellsburg and Bobby Gene Chilton, Milton; 13 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, September 4th from Prewitt's, New Castle. Dr. Clayton Klingenfus, pastor of the New Castle Christian Church officiated. Interment was in the Port Royal Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Lester Powell, Vivian Powell, Randolph Chilton, Paul W. Chilton, L.B. Powell and Woodrow Batts.
