THOMASVILLE--Lenvel Lee Rothrock, 67, a Thomasville industrialist of Cedar Lodge Rd., died Tuesday at 9:17 am in North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill following an illness of 14 months. He had been critically ill for 3 months. He was born in Davidson County, September 22, 1912, a son of Pleasant Dewitte and Ida Mae Myers Rothrock and had lived in Thomasville all of his life. In 1938, he founded the Commerical Carving Company and was chairman of the board at the time of his death. He was a member of Our Lady of the Highways Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vonnie Craven Rothrock of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra(Bill) Murphy and Mrs. Dorcas(Simon) Downs,Jr.; his mother, Ida M. Rothrock of Randolph Rd., four sisters, Mrs. Vaden Blizzard, High Point, Mrs. Essie Jones of Thomasville, Mrs. Hazel Cardiff of Dallas, TX and Mrs. Blanche Fritts of Thomasville and six grandchildren. The funeral of the Ecumenical Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Fair Grove Methodist Church by Msg. John Cradiff, Father William Stahl, Father Anthony Silvers & Rev. John M. G. Warner. Burial will be in Fair Grove Methodist Church cemetery. A Mass for the Dead with communion will be held at 7 pm Thursday at Our Lady of the Highways Catholic Church.
