Everett A. Atwell, 87, Chapman Dam Road, died Monday, January 11, 1988, at Waren General Hospital, following a one-year illness.

Born April 8, 1900, at Albaugh Hill, Forest County, a son of the late George and Malvernon Albaugh Atwell, he had lived in the Clarendon area for 62 years. He was employed at the former Thomas Coupling Company, now Rexnord, for 25 years, retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Clarendon Church of God.

He was preceded in death by a son, Melvin, in 1975; a grandson, James, in 1986; a brother and two sisters.
Funeral arranagements were handled by the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home.

Services were held there. Burial was in the Newmansville Cemetery.
