Ella Marie Blum, 84, of Clarendon, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in Warren General Hospital She was born November 24, 1930 in Warren to the late Everett and Florence Walters Atwell.
A lifelong area resident, Ella was employed at Osram Sylvania and retired from Allegheny Valley Elementary School, as the Cafeteria Manager. She was happiest when taking care of her family.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Blum, Clarendon; two daughters, Geraldine Thomas with husband, Larry, Chandler, Arizona; and Pamela Tuttle with husband, Dennis, Warren; three grandchildren, Lanye Essiam, Chad Tuttle and wife, Jessica, and Danielle Alberto Berrio Navarro Reiff and husband, Carlos; two great grandchildren, Jordan Tuttle and Elias Carlos Berrio Reiff, a brother, Elton Atwell, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Blum, whom she married February 18, 1949 in Kennedy, NY; three sisters, Evelyn Crossley, Esther Haight and Twila Leichtenberger, and three brothers, Melvin, Harold and Arthur Atwell.
Funeral and committal services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Borden-Lloyd Funeral Home, Sheffield. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service and burial will follow in the Cherry Grove Cemetery.
