Jay A. Fritzinger, 58 State College, passed away Jan. 8, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, FL

Born Oct. 13, 1952 in State College, he was the son of the late Jason A. & Emma W. (Fohringer) Fritzinger.

Debra Wakefield and her husband Jeffrey of Philipsburg

Sharon Fellows and her companion Mark Mellott of State College

Survived by: Sisters

Dorothy Dean and her husband Scott of New Castle

Dana Shoop and her husband Doug of Warrenton, VA

Rosanna Torres and her husband Steve of Nokesville, VA

Survived by: three nieces & one nephew

Survived by: four grandchildren

Preceded in death by his parents and companion Ruth Ann Askey, who passed away Jan. 26, 2006

He was currently employed by Traditional Auto of State College where he was a mechanic.

He was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, State College.

He was a member of the State College High School class of 1970.

He was a member of the Reliance Fire Co. #1 of Philipsburg, where he was a bingo caller, State College American Legion #245, Centre Hall American Legion, Lincoln Slovak Club of Hawk Run, Bald Eagle FOP Lodge #51, and Tussey Mountain Pool League

Funeral Services will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, PA on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 4:00 pm with Fr. William R. Walker officiating.

Burial will be at Ashcroft Cemetery, Hawk Run.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Jan. 15 from 2 until 4 p.m.
