Helen Margaret Armentrout Keagy, 83, of 132 Old Bridgewater Road, died Friday (Feb. 22, 2002) at Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born March 26, 1918, at Rockingham County, a daughter of Ellis S. Armentrout Sr. and Maude C. Carrol Armentrout.

She worked at Daly Shoe Factory, Harrisonburg, for 11 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Crawford United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Oliver Keagy, whom she married Jan. 31. 1946, and who died May 12, 1978.

Surviving are a sister, Bettie A. Carper of White Post; a son, John Samuel Keagy of Grottoes; a grandson, Timothy Thomas Keagy, a granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Coiner of Staunton; two great-granddaughters, Jessica Renee and Lindsey Jade Keagy; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Edith Lam.

Services will be at 1 1 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson's Funeral Home, Bridgewater, with the Rev. Edward C. Van Dyck officiating. Burial will be at Mount Crawford Cemetery.
