MT. CRAWFORD - Oliver Thomas (Pete) Keagy, 62, a resident of Mt. Crawford Community, died Friday afternoon (May 12, 1978) at his home. He had not enjoyed good health for the past year. A son of Timothy T. and Ada (Hawkins) Keagy, he was born on Aug. 13, 1915 in Mt. Crawford.

He was a miller and an honorary member of Mt. Crawford Ruritan Club. He served with the Army during World War II and was wounded twice while serving in the Pacific.

At Harrisonburg, on Jan. 31, 1946 he married Helen Armentrout, who survives.

Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, John S. Keagy of Rt. 1, Mt. Crawford; two grandchildren; one brother, Claude Keagy of Akron, Ohio.

A funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home by the Rev. Gene M. Williams. Burial will be in Mt. Crawford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 - 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
