Fred J Biggs, Son of Pioneers, Dies
Fred J Biggs, son of Tillamook County pioneers, died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning at his home on Wilson River about 1:30 a.m.
Mr Biggs was born in Tillamook on April 30, 1891. He was married in Tillamook on July 15, 1914. He was a member of the Timber Workers and Fishermen’s Unions A.F. of L., and had followed those occupations, besides farming, all his life. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge. He was well liked and well known and a fine man.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs Dorene Prince and Vera of Tillamook; three sons, Boyd, Fred and Robert; five sisters, Mrs Florence Harrington, of Alsea, OR, Mrs Mamie Wilkes, Mrs Alvie Davidson, Mrs Lena Mapes of Tillamook and Myrtle Mortenson of California. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm., Rev Jesse Johnson officiating at the Lundberg and Son chapel. Interment will be made in the IOOF Cemetery.
