ANDERSON, Ind. — Thelma (Carrender) Troxell, 84, Anderson, died Oct. 24, 2010, at her daughter's home.
She was born Sept. 4, 1926, in Monticello, Ky., and lived in Henry County before moving to Anderson 34 years ago.
Thelma was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Kermitt (Jennie) Troxell of Markleville, Gary (Phyllis) Troxell of Mooreland, Bradley (Debra) Troxell of Anderson, and Patty (Billy) Cooper of Anderson; two brothers, Billy (Charlotte) Carrender of Ohio and Samuel L. (Janice) Carrender of Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Tiffany Cooper, Samantha Cooper, Justin Troxell, Eric Troxell, Elizabeth Smitherman, Julie Garringer, Keith Troxell, Kevin Troxell, Laura Coffee, Misty Shunn and Kristy Coble; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Kelli Driskel, Renetta Harris and Joyce Burnsworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Samuel Carrender; husband, Roy B. Troxell in April of 2001; three sisters (one of which was a twin), Lucille Sexton, Wilma Riggs and Velma Massengale; two brothers, Herbert Carrender and Reed Carrender; and one great-grandchild, Jayden Maleik Deloney.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home with Chaplain George Clark officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
