STRATFORD- Services for Hannah Novella Griffin, 97, Stratford, are 11 a.m. Thursday in the Stratford Church of Christ, Bill Jones officiating, assisted by Bob Page. Burial follows at McGee Cemetery. Mrs. Griffin died Nov. 6, 1994, at a Pauls Valley hospital. She was born June 8, 1897, in Little Rock, Ark. to Henry and Mary White Golden. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ. On Oct. 19, 1913, she and Charley Griffin were married in Civit. He died July 17, 1962. She was also preceded in death by a son, Elbert, in 1950, two daughters, Velma Michener, in 1973, and Bernice Lobaught, in 1983, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is survived by a son, Harold Griffin, Ada; eight daughters, Ruby Matlock, Inez Stonecipher, Anna Wren, and Barbara Burnett, all of Stratford, Laura Sharber, Wynnewood, Bobbie Jean Evans, Hesperia, Calif., Charlene Evans, Stanton, Calif., and Lynden Jackson, Riverside, Calif.; 44 grandchildren, and 108 great-grandchildren. Bearers are Dr. Jim Robberson, Louie Reed, Jack Eldridge, Donald Sharber, Baxter Gray, and Ulyss Ballard. Pickard Funeral Home, Stratford, is in charge of arrangements.
