Mrs. Berry Dies in Louisiana
Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Berry of Rt. 3, Box 124, West Monroe, La., died Wednesday,Feb. 9, 1972, at 9 am, at the St. Francis Hospital in Monroe La. She was 75. Funeral services were conducted from the Houston Funeral Home Chapel at 10 am, Friday, Feb. 11, with the Rev. W F Clark and Rev. Claude Galloway officiating. Interment was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Billy Burgess, Charles Burgess, John Burgess, George Knox, Billy Martin, and Jack Knox.
Mrs. Berry was born at Houlka, July 12, 1896, the daughter of Wade Burgess and Tiny Grimes Burgess. She was a member of the Schooner Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Doyle Berry of Americus, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Pearl Wamble, West Monroe, La.; four brothers, Millard Burgess of Houston, Ray Burgess of Memphis, and Kelly and Harvey Burgess, both of Houlka. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
