She married 1) John Mayfield, who died in 1813. About 28 July 1830, in Pulaski Co., KY, Polly married John's cousin, the widower Isaac Mayfield, Jr. This marriage evidently did not work out, as he deeded Polly's slaves back to her on 26 Nov 1831, and departed for IN, where he died ca. Apr 1849.
The family story is that she died while sitting on her porch eating an apple. She had been a "pioneer doctor", and descendants have some of her instruments.
