Son of Isaac Mayfield, Sr. and Jean "Jane" (Baxter) Mayfield. Isaac was married twice. His first wife, and mother of all of his children, was Mary Ann "Mollie" Banks. After she died, Isaac married the widow of a cousin (John Mayfield), Mary "Polly" (Woolf) Mayfield, abt 28 July 1830, in Pulaski Co., KY. Polly remained in KY when Isaac moved to IN.
