Miss Flora Dawes, 64, of Crockett died in Rusk Saturday, Dec. 26. Miss Dawes was born Oct. 17, 1900, in Houston County. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, from the Callaway Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Andrew Byers officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbe~rers were Jim Hail, Wert Lawson, Nat Patton, Charles English, and Grady Blalock. Survivors include two brothers, J. T. Dawes of Pampa and R. A. Dawes of Texas City; four sisters, Mrs. S. R. LeMay of Dallas, Mrs. Homer West of New Waverly, Mrs. Jim Click of Lovealdy, and Mrs. L. W. Edlund of Miles City, Mont. Callaway Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
