Robert was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather to his family. He received his education in St. Louis, OK and graduated from high school in 1935. He then attended Oklahoma A & M for one year. Robert and Jewel Baird were married on November 26, 1939 in Pauls Valley, OK. They were married for 70 years. Robert lived in Coweta for seven years before moving to Tulsa in July 2009. He was a member of First Christian Church in Coweta, OK and the Tulsa Photographic Society. Robert was an Eagle Scout and established a boy scout troop for physically challenged kids. His hobbies included woodworking, photography, and metal detecting.
Robert is lovingly survived by his wife of the home; his daughter; his four sisters; his two grandchildren; his three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Bobby Joe Adams, and his son-in-law, Dale Keeler.
Funeral Services for Robert will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at First Christian Church in Coweta, OK. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, OK. The family of Robert Lee Adams, Jr. entrusted his care and services to Wright Funeral Home, 210 S. Broadway, Coweta, OK 74429.
