Born September 27, 1920 in Romulus, Oklahoma, Jewel was the daughter of Joseph Lou and Dora Alice (Waldron) Baird. Raised on a farm near Pauls Valley, Jewel often spent time in St. Louis, Oklahoma where she met a handsome, young man named Robert "Bob" Adams as he and a friend were cruising down Main Street. The couple would later exchange vows in a November 1940 wedding ceremony in Pauls Valley and they then made their home in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Apart from a brief move to Lawton, Oklahoma Jewel and Bob would make the Tulsa area home as Bob spent a career working for Central Airlines.

Travel was something that Jewel and Bob enjoyed. Some of their most memorable travel included overseas trips to: Greece, Rome and Turkey. While staying closer to home, they enjoyed taking their motor home south to Padre for the winters and also made several trips to Colorado, Florida and California. When at home, Jewel enjoyed sewing and painting. She was also an excellent cook and baker and her chocolate pudding pie recipe will continue to be made in her honor.

Described as: kind, affectionate, quick-witted and a woman of faith, Jewel made a wonderful impression and impact on the lives of those she touched. Her wonderful sense of humor and sweet spirit will be the things most remembered as her family carries her legacy with them.

Jewel is survived by: her daughter, Judy Keeler; grandchildren: Kasey Keeler, Ashley Blandford and Christopher Keeler and wife, Jaime; great-grandchildren: Ema, Olivia, and Ty Keeler; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Mosman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert "Bob" Adams; son, Bobby Joe Adams; son-in-law, Dale Keeler; and siblings: Ida Mae James, Hazel King, Ola Soward, Joe Soward, Earl Soward and John Soward.
A graveside service to honor and remember the life of Jewel Adams will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 28, 2018 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
