SHAWNEE, Okla. — Dorothy Adams Wray, 90, went to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 10, 2010.

She was born in Wynona to R.L. and Maude Adams in 1920. Dorothy happily shared her birthday, Jan. 10, with her children, Kenneth and Janice.

Dorothy was the loving, devoted wife to Leonard Wray for 55 years. They lived in Shawnee, attending Immanuel Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery for more than 50 years.

Dorothy loved to sew and created many wonderful stuffed teddy bears for others over the years. She worked at C.R. Anthony Company, and later at Tinker as an Electronics Specialist, where she received a medical retirement.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leonard, and brother, Bob Adams.

She is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Mosman, Evelyn Sherrill, and Mary Adams; sister-in-law, Jewel Adams; children, Kenneth Wray and wife, Dorothy, and Janice Stewart with husband, Don Rueb; grandchildren, Shawn Smith and Amber, Trisha Foreman and Rick, and Andrew Wray and Linda; and great-grandchildren, Andrew Smith and Abigail Smith.

Special thanks to her loving caregiver, Angela Akin and family.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Resthaven Memorial Park, with memorial service following at the Resthaven Chapel. Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, with family to receive friends noon to 2 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday from 8 a.m. to noon before the service.
