Christopher J Adrian, an old pioneer rendered aged 84 years and a veteran of the Civil War, died at the home of his son, Ernst, at Rogers City, last Monday morning from paralysis, with which he was stricken a week ago.
The deceased had been a resident of Presque Isle county for upwards of 20 years and was the father of a large family, six of whom, Charles, Ernst, August, Marie, Mrs Charles (Johanna) Hopp Sr, and Mrs John (Wilhelmine) Bruning, are old residents of this county.
His wife, Caroline, aged 74 years, died about 5 years ago.
The funeral ceremonies were performed by Rev J D Druckenmiller at the Lutheran's St John's church yesterday afternoon and the remains being interred in the Rogers City cemetery.
