Friedericka Adrian, daughter of Christopher and Caroline (Tessmeyer) Adrian, was born in Mecklenburg-Strelitz, West Prussia, Germany. She was baptised in her home town Lutheran church in Melckenburg. She immigrated with her parents and family to Wolcottsville, Niagara County, New York, about 1855. There she was confirmed into the Lutheran faith about 1866. Her father was a Civil War veteran. About 1870 she moved with her family to Michigan, settling in the Macomb County area. On 18 February 1871 she was united in marriage with Henry T. Ludeman in Mount Clemens at the Zion Evangelical Reformed Lutheran Church by the Rev. Hermann Goedert. Witnesses were Ernst Adrian & Johann Brüning, both of Utica, Michigan. To this union were born nine children, seven daughters: Ida, Pauline, Ollie, Emma, Lydia, Elizabeth, and Hilda; and two sons, Otto and Hugo. The Ludeman's remained in Macomb County their entire married lives. Until his retirement, Mr. Ludeman was a Section Boss On Grand Trunk Rail Road. He preceded her in death on 13 Oct 1924, as did two of her daughters. Mrs. Ludeman a former resident of Mt Clemens, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Emma (Harry) Redwood, after a short illness. Mrs Ludeman was an aunt of Capt. Charles Ludeman of the Mt Clemens Police Department.
