TAPIA, Paul S. Born May 8, 1938, in Arizona. Passed away December 5, 2009, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up in Imperial Valley, Calif., attending school in Calipatria, Calif. He has lived in the Antelope Valley since 1972, working for Lockheed Martin in Palmdale for 28 years. He received numerous awards of achievement from Lockheed for jobs well done. Enjoyed dancing, fishing, camping and family activities, has spent many outings at the Colorado
River, fishing for bass and striper, as well as in the eastern Sierras fishing for trout. He was great at catching large alpers trout. Survived by his wife Mary Tapia, daughters Alice Gutierrez (Bartole) of Lancaster, Calif., Armida Roediger (Rex) of Lancaster, Calif., Angela Boughan (Bill) of Lancaster, Calif., Elsa Tapia of Lancaster, Calif., and Toni Duran (Richard) of San Diego, Calif. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, mother Antonia Saine, father Antonio Tapia, brother Andrew Tapia (Mary). Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lancaster. Internment will be at Good Shepard Cemetery.
Thank you Lord for giving us one of the best son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend anyone could ever ask for.
