Born Nov. 24, 1900, Emery, to James Peter and Severene Simonsen Olsen. Married Bertha Case Dec. 24, 1919, Castle Dale, Emery County. Solemnized in Manti LDS Temple. Farmer, Coal Miner. Moved to Provo in 1970. Member LDS Church. High Priest, served as clerk in four bishoprics in Emery. Temple worker.
Survivors: wife, Provo; two sons, three daughters, George Eugene Olsen, Northridge, Calif.; Gary C. Olsen, Granger; Mrs. Rhody (Norma) Anderson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Harry L. (Wanda) Jorgensen, Vernal; Mrs. Ted (Roma) Van Buren, Provo; 28 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Peter Olsen, Ferron, Emery County; Alonzo Alonzo Olsen, Emery.
Funeral services Thursday 10:30 a.m. Pioneer 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 185 N. 1000 West, Provo. Friends may call Thursday 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment, Emery Cemetery, with graveside services at 3:30 p.m.
