STAMFORD — Ellie Bolch Walton, 85, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at a local nursing home.

Services are 11 a.m. today at the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.C. Baker officiating. Burial in the Highland Memorial Park, directed by Kinney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Walton was born in Annona. She married Herman Thomas Walton in 1938; he preceded her in death. She had been a resident of Jones County since 1938, moving from Jayton. She worked as a seamstress and was also a childcare provider. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served as a WMU Director, the children's Sunday school teacher, and church treasurer.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Walton of Lake Whitney; one daughter, Dorothy Mosso of Fredericksburg, Va.; two brothers, Robert Bolch of Andrews, Jim Bolch of Napa, Calif.; one sister, Mildred Elkins of Aspermont; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
