He was born in New Holstein, Sept. 2, 1905, a son of the late Herman ad Mary Wichmann Erbach.
He was a graduate of New Holstein High School and attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Sept. 29, 1934 he married the former Eunice Hansen in New Holstein. The couple farmed the Erbach homestead near New Holstein. Mr. Erbach served for 24 years as clerk of the Town of New Holstein and for several years was clerk fo the New Holstein Cemetery Association. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ.
He is survived by his widow; two sons, Donald of Ames, Iowa, and Walter of Madison; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Doris) Zeyher, of Sheboygan, seven grandchildren and one brother, Melvin, Amherst.
Funeral services were at Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein, with the Rev. Albert K. Borns, pastor of St. John UCC, officiating. Burial was in the New Holstein City Cemetery.
