Funeral Services for Anton Knudson, Gully Resident, Set for Today

Funeral services have been set for two o'clock Friday afternoon, Feb. 12, at Lund Church in Gully, for Anton Knudson, who passed away Tuesday morning Feb. 9, at the Fosston Hospital.

Anton Knudson was born Oct. 15, 1875 in Verdalen, Norway. At the age of six, he came to America with his parents and lived at Rutland, ND until about 17 years when the family moved to Wolverton, Minn.

Anton Knudson married Ada Watterberg, Aug. 10, 1898; they farmed at Wolverton for a few years before homesteading in Riener Township near Goodridge.

The family moved to Gully in 1920 when Anton went into the garage business with his son, Claude.

In 1941, he suffered a heart attack and has been hospitalized several times since. On Jan. 28, he suffered a severe stroke from which he never recovered.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters, Claude at Gully, Ray at Escanaba, Mich., Howard at Parkersburg, Iowa, Ruby Knudson, Port Angeles, Wash., and Lottie (Mrs. John Brelsford) Port Angeles, Wash., eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Louis Rayson, Minnesota, and a brother, August Knudson, Kelso, Wash.

(Anton was the son of Ole and Olena Knudson.)
