Sally Ann (Moat) Barrett, 68, of 503 6th Street, Bedford, died at 7:11 am on Friday, April 24, 2009 at Bedford Regional Medical Center. Sally was a devoted and very loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Born, May 25, 1940, in Bloomington, IN, she was the daughter of Howard and Della (Hill) Hoover. She married George "Bud" Barrett on December 1, 1956 and he survives. She worked in the Piston Department at General Motors and retired after 25 years. She was a member of the First Church of God and the UAW Local 440.

Survivors include her husband, George of Bedford, one son, Edward Barrett and his wife Kimberly of Bedford, two daughters, Cheryl Sanders and her husband Kenny of Mitchell and Diane Harris and her fiancé Kevin Hudson of Bedford, three brothers, William Moat of Bellingham, Washington, Charles Moat of Stonington, CT and Danny Moat of Bloomington, IN, one sister, Helen Miller of Columbia, MO, four grandchildren, Kasey Ann Barrett Jackson, Dustin Dereck Dyer, Logan Dean Barrett and Lane Edward Barrett, two great grandchildren, Alexander Keith Jackson and Jackson baby due September 6, 2009, two step-grandchildren, Morgan and Evan Sanders. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Elmer Moat and two sisters, Jenny Meadows and Betty Anderson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 27th at the First Church of God with Travis Inman officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery in Orleans.
