Herbert A. Record, 7 years old, of Saco, died June 5th at his parents home on Maple Street, Saco at 8 o'clock this morning.He was the son of Alexander C. & Melissa A. (Lothrop) Record.
The little fellow was wading in a pond last Friday after eating Blue Flag root and ate quite a quantity. That night, he was taken with violent pains in the stomach and though medical aid was at once summoned, he died this morning in great agony.
Although his illness took the form of inflamation of the bowel, it is thought death was caused by his being poisoned by the Blue Flag root that he ate.
Funeral will be Friday at 1 PM from his late residence at 62 Maple Street, Saco.
