Clearfield Progress, Penna. Friday, Jan. 6, 1933 Eli Rowles, well-known resident of this section, died Wednesday afternoon, January 4, after a illness of several weeks. He was aged 72 years, nine months, and 21 days. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clara Talen, of Ambridge., and Mrs. Sara Green, of Girard, Ohio., 14 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Flora McCoy, is deceased. The following brothers, and sister, survive, Aaron, Ambrose, Ira, Hendrick, and Alex, all of Clearfield., and Mrs. Emma Brost, of DuBois., Funeral services will be held at the Thompsons Funeral Home, West Locust Street, Clearfield, on Saturday afternoon, January 7, at one o'clock. Interment in Bloomington Cemetery.
