Emma Jane Rowles Borst was born February 15, 1870 and died at the home of her brother, Ira Rowles, in East End on October 25, 1935, of cancer. She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter Mrs. Mae Dougherty, of Buffalo, N.Y., and the following brothers: Aaron Rowles, Clearfield; Miles Rowles, Townsville; Ambrose Rowles, Hyde City; Ira Rowles, Hendrick; and Alexander Rowles, Clearfield.Three grandchildren, Mrs. Ruby Dixon and Mrs. Frances Nolan of Glen Ritchey and Burnard Dougherty of Buffalo. Funeral services were held at the home of her brother, Ira Rowles and the Methodist Church in Bloomington on Sunday afternoon, October 27, with interment in Bloomington Cemetery.
