Harry A. "Henner" "Babes" Bricker, 79, of Hummelstown, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008, in The Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
Born in Hummelstown on May 21, 1929, he was the son of the late John H. Sr. and Viola Nye Bricker.
Harry retired after 35 years of service from the Unemployment Bureau of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry where he was an IBM Operator. After retirement he worked as a security guard for the Hershey Park Entertainment Company. Harry was a 1949 graduate of the former Hummelstown High School where he played baseball, football and basketball. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. Harry was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing sports. He especially enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Flyers and Hershey Bears Ice Hockey teams.
Harry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Josephine M. Guerrisi Bricker, whom he married on June 26,1954; one daughter, Nancy L. Popp, wife of Joseph E. of Hummelstown; one son, Harry A. Bricker, husband of Joye L. of Voorhees, NJ; one brother, Harvey R. Bricker of
Hummelstown; one sister, Arlene E., wife of Charles T. Brunner of Hummelstown; four granddaughters, Rachel J. Hall, wife of Jarrod of Montoursville, Jessica R. Popp of Harrisburg, Jennifer L. Popp fiancée of Joseph Gingrich of Hummelstown, and Hayley A. Bricker of Voorhees, NJ; and one great granddaughter, Mackenzie E. Hall of Montoursville. He was pre -ceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at 11 a.m., in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Interment with military honors will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery,
