Amanda married Samuel Duncan Lovett 4-25-1843 in Van Buren Co, MI. She had six children, three of which died very young. She died of consumption in Grand Ledge, MI. Also, a very nice volunteer attempted to find a headstone for my 4x great grandmother.

OBITUARY FROM THE GRAND LEDGE INDEPENDENT:

Miss Amanda M.McGeorge was born in New Lisbon, Otsego county,New York Nov 28 1830 and moved with her parents to Michigan in 1833, settling in Gourdneck Prarie, Kalamazoo county. She was converted at the age of eighteen and united with the M.E. Church on the Prarie. On April 24 1843, she married Samuel D. Lovett, residing at the Prarie until 1862 when they moved to Wacousta and from there to Grand Ledge in November 1872, where she has since lived, her husband having died March 20 1870. For many years deceased suffered from bronchial trouble, which eventually devloped into consumption.She took to her bed fourteen weeks ago. At 1:30 on SUnday morning last she passed away to her eternal rest. The deceased leaves three daughters, three sisters, and two brothers, one sister living in New York state, and one sister and two brothers in California. One daughter resides here, one in Wacousta and one in St Joseph County, Mrs Lovett was an earnest, consistent Christian and manifested great patience and resignation throughout her affliction. The family, as they cherise tenderly her memory, are consoled by the thought that while"God calls over loved ones, we lose not wholy what he has given; they live on earth in thoughts and deed, as truly as is His Heaven".
