Raymond Harjo was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He married Darlene Wiese in 1964. In 1965 they moved to Chicago Illinois where he went to welding school and then worked for Danly Machine. They moved to El Reno, Oklahoma in 1970 and he worked for CMI. He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper in Korea.

Survivors include his wife Darlene of the home, a son and two daughters, Rona, Gina and Cincinnati, all of the home. His mother Edith Harjo of Cromwell, Oklahoma. Brothers Mose and Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Ben Harjo of Dallas, Texas. Six sisters, Lenora Robinson of Coweta, Loretta Price of Cromwell, Bertha Johnson of Tuttle, Lucille King of Holdenville, Joy Miller and Wanda Kay Murray, both of Wewoka.

Buddy died in a car accident. His Indian heritage is Creek.

Buddy enjoyed old cars. He had a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria that he was restoring.

He also enjoyed painting. His wife, Darlene, has several picures that he painted.



I want to thank Tim and Joyce Gibbs for the picture of Buddy's monument. Buddy and Rona were the only entries for Little Quarsarty cemetery until Tim entered as many as he could from this cemetery.

He did not get to met his grandchildren. They include
