Tim,
My only information is from the Texas Death Certificate for Great Aunt Nanny. It is dated 22 July 1952 and says her body was sent to "City Cemetery" in Wewoka, OK from Rains & Talley Funeral Directors, in Gregg County, Texas. I know that cemetery names sometimes change - and since this was a different state they may have simply misidentified the cemetery. I am sorry for the additional effort this requires. Your help is greatly appreciated. Wishing you continued success with your Find-a-Grave experiences. Deen Braly - #47610288

LOWRY family
I believe there were some LOWRY relatives in Seminole and I know there were in Shawnee OK. I will check my husband's tree on Ancestry. Gibbs sounds familiar, and so does Green. I can't send message through this link for your private e-mail. I don't know why. My e-mail is d_lowry57@hotmail.com. I can respond to messages there.

RE: Henry Gordon
Sorry to hear her passing. I'm glad I could help even a little bit for others who can't make it often to the cemeteries around where I live.

Sgt John F. Brown
Sgt John F. Brown was a soldier in Company G 180th Infantry Regiment 45th Infantry Division. He was killed in action on 12 July 1943 in Sicily (operation Husky). He was buried in the temporary American Cemetery GELA in plot-grave G-78-928. Date of burial was 14 August 1943.

I am writing a book about the temporary cemetery GELA, and also want to include the picture you took of his grave in the book, of course you will be credited and notified when the bookis finished next year July 1943.

If you are related, perhaps you may have information/documentation or his picture and/or training in North Africa prior to the Sicily invasion, any information is more than welcome

Thank you

RE: Thank you so much for the Info for Wheeler Pethtel
Timmy - thank you so much for sharing that story with me. Your conversation with your son, reminds me of my times with my little guy (and he's almost 18 now). When I see all of our HERO's headstones in our cemeteries, I always get choked up. God has blessed them all...
