Lower Buffalo Presbyterian Church and Cemetery History
According to WestVirginiaGenalogy.org (History of Lower Buffalo Cemetery), the Lower Buffalo Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Brooke County, WV is one of the oldest cemeteries in the region (established in 1795 when the land was purchased for the church and cemetery). The first church building was erected in 1789. In 1822, the second church was built on a ridge a short distance from the old church location. Later a frame church was built in Independence, Washington CO, PA. The cemetery was not moved. A brick church was built at the Independence location and dedicated in 1918. A cyclone storm in 1944 toppled and shifted some grave stones in the cemetery. Church and cemetery history with burial list posted online: http://www.brookecountywvgenealogy.org/lower-buffalo-cemetery.html

A second list of burials for Lower Buffalo Cemetery is also posted by Gary Caldwell at Interment.net. Gary wrote in an e-mail to me that the list is based on the 1930's DAR project for Lower Buffalo Cemetery. He also said no graves were moved from the cemetery when the church building was relocated to Independence, Washington CO, PA.
