My Sweet Boy. He got him and his liter mate brother Peanut, when we were first dating. The neighbor across the hall in the apartment complex got them in the summer of 2005. One night we found his brother Peanut on the stairwell. He came instantly to us. Then a day later we found out he had belonged to the neighbor and we returned them. Then shortly after that, one night we arrived at the apartment complex and on the third floor landing, the two boys were looking down at us. Turns out the neighbors had thrown them out and didn't want them back. They were called Red and Sassy. I think that Tiger was Red. We had named him Ginger until his first trip to the vet and all of a sudden we had a boy cat. Originally I was going to try and find a home for them since I already had multiple cats, but I never did.

Sometimes he had the nickname Trouble but he was always so sweet. He had hypothyroidism and was never still for long. He would constantly walk laps and circles over you at night. One large circle over the bed to the floor and back over you. I think he was generally the cause of the mysterious scratches I would wake up with occasionally. He loved to climb and jump. Really big leaps from one piece of furniture to the next. I could never have a glass of water sitting unattended or he would be in it and drinking it. He loved to knock things off my side table.

My favorite times were when he would be still for a few minutes and would lie on my stomach. He was a very long cat and his head would usually be right at my head. If I would go to kiss his head, he would head butt a little, like he was kissing back. He generally slept right beside me and would always move to my warm spot if I got up.

He was very vocal when you would walk into the room. He was always talking. He would let you know if the food or water was low. If you were eating ice cream around him he would go crazy from the smell. He was deaf toward the later part of his life. My little poodle was scared of him and would growl at him, but he never heard it.

He loved belly rubs and would pad the air when you rubbed him. He had the cutest freckles on this nose. When my husband walked into a room he would practically yell until he was picked up and held. Padding the air with pleasure.

We could tell for the last few days that he was a little different. He was so skinny from his hypothyroidism and I think it finally caught him. He was on hypothyroid pills and blood pressure pills. He had to give him his hypothyroid pills in a compounded form in his ear which he did not like but he always tolerated.

He died between 3:05 am and 3:20 am. He was fairly listless and we knew it was coming. He was laying on the floor by the bed and then he moved closer to the end of the bed once we got in. I was debating putting him on the bed, but didn't want to disturb him or have him fall off and make it worse for him. Then somehow, he climbed up the ramp we have for our tall bed and came and laid next to me, I held him for a few minutes until I realized he was just gone. So peacefully.

Other pets that I had during his life were: his littermate brother Peanut, Jagger, Spice and Lucky, Margie, and Tessa.
