Krewson, Phoebe E., born in Miami County, Ohio, in 1843, died Dec. 8, 1910, in the bounds of the Fairview congregation, Appanoose Co., Iowa. She was the daughter of Eld. William Strickler (Stickler), who was one of our strong pioneer preachers. She moved with her parents to Iowa in 1851. She united with the church in 1865 and lived a consistent Christian life until death. She was married to Lewis Krewson Dec. 23, 1866. To this union were born four sons and one daughter. Her oldest son preceded her to the spirit world. About two weeks before she died she called for the elders and was anointed. She selected her text for the funeral from Mark 14:8. Services in the Christian church near her home, conducted by the writer. - Orlando Ogden, Unionville, Iowa.
