Based on the 1850, 1860 (missing in 1870) and 1880 censuses for Greene Co., Ind., John C. Rush was born in North Carolina and probably died in Greene Co., Indiana since he lived in that county for at least or almost 50 years. I have included partials of the 1850 & 1880 census to illustrate my point. Also, he served in the Union Army from the state of Indiana. I have an ecample of that.
