Larry was the seventh child of Roy Ellsworth Smith and Maude Lee Owen Smith.

Uncle Larry's siblings are as follows: Evelyn Marie Smith Smith, Florence Martha Smith Dishman, Harvey Louis Smith, Baby Sister Smith, Roy Ellsworth Smith, Jr., Thelma Louise Smith Shelley and Barbara Jean Smith Salvati.

He spent his early years traveling back and forth from California to Missouri as the family moved around frequently.

During World War II he served in the US Army as a TEC 5.

On June 29, 1946 he married Sue Gwendolyn Pounders and they happily had three children.

Uncle Larry lost his Gwen in 1971 suddenly.

After a few years he met Aunt Anne.

He married Anne Hatsfield on May 18, 1974 and they were together till his death.

He was a very hard worker and a dedicated family man. He spent most of his working life in the grocery industry, though he also had many other talents and interests. He helped me a great deal when I first started asking questions about our family as a teenager. He told me I may come from two Smith lines, but they couldn't be more different if they tried. And he has been very accurate.
